Description

The coolest thing about Bat Lash was that the entire comic consisted of "character actors" you could find in movies. The hero was good looking guy. The girls were pretty. The bad guys looked like bad guys. The comic relief looked so. All out of Nick's central casting.

Even though the background is sparse, it's adobe. There's nothing to clutter the action. In fact, in the bottom panel, there's only a few lines to indicate the wall receding into the backgound.

Yes. That paper is as yellow as it looks.

Note: In the top panel, there's a "KLIK" sound effect close to the left margin that was not blacked in. The letterer should have done that. Or Nick since he would have received the page so he could ink it.

Nick Cardy made Batlash an enjoyable read when I was a kid. And his work still holds up well today. Great you got to know him. Nice art.

Oh boy! How I love the clumsiness of the hapless soldiers! And the action flows so freely... Masterful!
