Description

This is another AVENGERS cover recreation. The #12 one I did was a success, so I wanted to do another one. This time I chose one that Chic Stone did NOT ink and tried to jazz it up just a little. I love Chic inking Kirby.

I inked this recreation over bluelines of THE AVENGERS #3 cover art. Some things I tried to stay pretty faithful to, but mainly wanted to INK it without trying to follow every stroke. Paul Reinman inking Kirby is not one of my favorite teams. Everything is hand-inked, even the lettering. Nothing is pasted on.

Recreation inked on 11 x 17 Strathmore Bristol board over bluelines. Original cover art by Jack Kirby and Paul Reinman. Would look great framed!
