DOOMSDAY & HULK Pin-Up - Hazlewood SOLD

My re-imagined semi-recreation of a Doomsday panel that I inked originally (Tom Grummett pencils). Inked over bluelines on 11 x 17 Strathmore Bristol board. The panel originally included Superman. Doomsday was intended to be a Hulk-like character and it was a blast inking him.

I don't think I got back many pages with Doomsday on them (or cool pages) as I got the last third of the issue. I spent extra time adding details to Doomsday when inking ADVS. OF SUPERMAN #497. I always wanted to ink Hulk and this maybe was as close as I was going to get.

Here I took another crack at one of my favorite images we did of him and added a vintage Hulk probably wondering what the heck this character is doing jumping around in the sky with him. I was going to just do Doomsday, but the thought of adding a retro-looking Hulk in mid-'jump flight' occurred to me. For the Hulk I leaned heavily on a Kirby/Ayers splash panel.
