Wrightson - Punisher Purgatory - Issue #1 - Cover Prelim

So much great art was on ComicLink during this last auction and I was really glad I was able to acquire this piece from 1998. The size is listed at 10 x 15, but I'm not sure why it appears to reference Pg. 4 at the top? Perhaps it wasn't intended to be the cover initially, or the splash on Pg. 4 is similar to the cover?

Regardless, it's a great preliminary page by Wrightson with quite a bit of detail and the gun wielding Punisher with his iconic shirt.

I haven't read the series before, but after reading the following short article found below explaining his origins, I'm going to look at acquiring at least some of the earlier stories or a small collection of the same!
