Description

First appearance of Queen Chrysalis. In issue #1 of IDW's MLP series, there are a couple great pages with first appearances and a couple of labor of love pages by artist Andy Price. On this page, Andy hits Chrysalis with the full Bernie Wrightson cross-hatch treatment, along with a first appearance that portrays her unlike any on the TV show. I had tried to get this page from Andy, but he had sold it at a convention early on. Luck stepped in, and I was able to contact the buyer (thanks Jim), and add this page to my MLP #1 art collection. Jim was kind enough to throw in the t-shirt that showed the page in its colored published state.

Page also features series writer Katie Cook and her husband as a pony and mule.
