Laurel Gand by Derec Donovan

After Crisis on Infinite Earths, DC removed Supergirl from continuity and this left the Legion of Super-Heroes with a Kryptonian-sized hole in their history. Eventually this hole was plugged with a new character with the same powers, the Daxamite Laurel Gand. Laurel was Mon-El's cousin and she fit rather well into past stories, even as a former love of Brainiac 5. The main difference with Laurel (in my opinion) was her attitude. Laurel was tough-as-nails and took no crap from anyone. I actually ended up liking her more than I liked Supergirl. This costume here mostly appeared in flashbacks as her retroactive Silver Age costume. I really liked this outfit and asked Derec to draw it for this commission. He did a really good job making Laurel appear powerful and I love the folds in her shirt and the space background. Thanks Derec!

Great choice. I like this old style costume also and added her to the Prime Time series ..
