DescriptionThis is 1 of 2 pages from Superior Spider-Man 18 I picked up from Paolo at Cadence Comic Art. It’s funny; Ryan Stegman told me the 2 pages I bought were his 2 favorite from the issue. Quite separately, I was going back and forth with inker John Livesay and he mentioned these 2 pages are 2 of the best from the book. Both said they spent a lot of time on this page and you can really see that come through.Here you’ve got 2 nice Spidey images and that bottom panel is a beauty. Screams energy, love the perspective, and you can tell both Ryan and John went to town on the background and webbing. I like that about the panel just as much as the Spidey figure. I remember seeing the progression of this panel on Ryan’s Tumblr page (check it out here: http://ryanstegman.tumblr.com/post/55955495628/hmm-i-probably-shoulda-put-this-together-myself) and thinking “that’s awesome”. So now I’m naturally pretty excited to own it – just a sick example. Thanks for looking! Social/Sharing |

What a phenominal splash page, I love everything about it. When I put together my list of SSM pages that I liked, this was on the short list from Stegman.

Totally agree, Pete, and not hard to see why. Still one of my favorite Stegman pages - both he and Livesay went to town on that bottom panel. Dynamic and detailed! Thanks for the comment!

Stegman is channeling Todd McFarlane especially on this page for me. Yet he is certainly his own artist. Great stuff.
