Description

There�s only one Drew Struzan. All the artist�s out there know the unbelievable power of his emotionally charged and colorfully stunning work. I�ve had the good fortune to know the artist himself and visit him at his studio, as we talk art and philosophy and peruse the wealth of originals he has hanging there. My jaw drops at every piece he�s ever done.

Though I don�t own an airbrush and used different mediums than Drew, I thought I�d give the �Struzan look� a shot. On this piece I worked from rather small b & w pic of Captain Kirk and just started drawing it onto the board one night, using the usual methods of checking proportion with a mirror and what not. Here are the results.
