Description

I met Mark at the October 2005 Dallas Comic Con, and he was my primary artistic target - he's getting to be pretty "hot" as an artist and it won't be long before it'll be impossible to get a sketch out of him! I was first in line to his table, so I handed him a pile of reference and a choice of three characters to draw. Since he's the new artist on NEW X-MEN, I decided I should have him draw an X character for me since my collection seems oddly light in that department. I gave him a choice of any costume, either regular MU or Ultimate version, of Jean Grey, Kitty Pryde, or Storm. Mark jumped at the chance to draw Storm in her X-TREME X-MEN uniform, which coincidentally happens to be my favorite of her outfits. Mark spent a *long* time on this piece, and the results are pretty obvious to see - I think she's just stunning. Definitely made the drive all the way to Dallas worth it! Pencils and markers on 11"x14" Bristol. UPDATED 11/14/05 - added better scan.
