Description
One of the more poignant pages in the series thus far, as the sub carrying Lee Archer starts heading nose down to the abyss, and she struggles to find some footing in the inverted vehicle, all in order to keep the video connection with her young son before her imminent death.

The fact that her son is informing her of the horror hitting the mainland at that second which she inadvertently launched on the world, and all she has left is a couple seconds to give her last words to him before the sub bursts from the pressure....it just tears me up inside. The darkness encroaching on all sides from Sean's art just perfectly echoes the plot overall, and on the closure of the intensely personal story of Dr Archer. So well done story-wise and art-wise.

Fade to black, as the arc ends.

Such a great emotionally intensive piece. It's all about the lighting and SGM plays it very well.
