Description

You never know what you are going to find at a comic convention and this is certainly not something I was expecting. 1880's Judge magazine illustration by Thomas Worth. Some interesting info on the artist here. This piece features cross dressing females in the role of men. I must be honest, the intent of this feature escapes me.

Incredible work by a cartoonist previously unknown to me! I agree, a lot of the 19th century gags need some thought and deciphering to figure out.
