Description
This is some painting to behold. Originally used as the cover to the well meaning, if a little misjudged comic 'Aid Awareness' in 1994, Bisley kept this painting in his studio for over 20 years, reworking it over time with glue, glitter, cigarette ash and everything inbetween.
It's more like a Francis Bacon than a Bisley now!
When I showed Simon a copy I made of his original that I painted in '96 he said it was time for him to let the painting go, despite it being the one he was most attached to. And here it is!!
Although art is subjective, I think this is one of Bisley's finest pieces, it's huge, sinister, mysterious and it appearance changes everytime you look at it.

I know the Doom Patrol cover is going to be the one that gets all the comments - but this one slightly beats it in my view. Ok, it is not as smooth, or as popular, and it will never be as desired by fans, but this is just amazing art pure and simple. This should be on display somewhere!

Hi Steve, just measured it there (rough estimate as it's in a frame and some of it is behind a border). It's approximately 36 inchs by 24 inchs (91cm x 60cm) a good bit bigger than most of the other covers we have.
