DescriptionIn the early '80s Russ Cochran ran an ad in The Comics Buyers Guide (whole page!) of Wrightson original art for sale. He was selling a private collector's (Sandy Blatt?) entire catalogue of Wrightson originals. I was running an ad for a large (almost 300) collection of Big Little Books for sale. It turns out Russ had what I wanted and I had what he wanted. My trade allowance would have enabled me to buy one original painting, Taking No Chances, or several black and white pieces. I went for quantity! I got this Alien and two House of Mystery splash pages and the splash for House of Secrets #92!! Oh boy! How I kick myself for letting these go!!!Social/Sharing |

Just great. Sandy had the most unbelievable Wrightson (and Neal Adams) collection and the first art I ever bought was from Sandy in 1980 at SDCC. Good memories.
