Description
This drawing was completed in April 2004.

For this commission I asked Frank to take the characters from MTIO 43 (originally drawn by John Byrne and the Marvel Bullpen) and reimagine them in whatever way he wanted. Frank came up with the idea of having the Thing and Man-Thing confronting the villain (Jude the Entropic Man) in the midst of a "Tree of Death".

Needless to say, I am knocked out by the image that he came up with. Frank's skills with the pencil are unsurpassed.

Update October 2007: I have just learned from Frank that this drawing is included in his art book "Mythos".

A nice tribute to one of my favorite stories (with Captain America) ... The Thing (Marvel Two-In-One # 43) by John Byrne! Congrats

Great Marvel Two in One Cover!, I wonder what the original would sell for?

Amazing.  Love Brunner's work, and his take on Ben here.
