Description

Master illustrator Mike Mayhew did this comicon commission for me on December 13th, 2014 in Phoenix, Arizona. The piece measures 11 x 17 on Strathmore comic art board and includes watercolor. We agreed that he would do a full figure with nothing fancy in the background except maybe a few bats and this is what he delivered. Look closely at the castle as it is amazing just by itself. The castle is similar to the cover painting of Vampirella #1 that came out this year (2014). Mike was extremely modest and spent a long time answering all of my questions at the fan convention. He is truly a phenomenal guy and one of my top favorite Vampi artists. He has some new Vampi covers that will be published in early 2015 that are phenomenal, so be sure to check them out.
