DescriptionI have a love for Kurt Busiek's DC creation the Power Company. Sapphire admittedly was my favorite though my love of blue certainly helped on that front. Candace Jean Genaro a runaway kid who finds herself thrust into the superhero world was a fun idea. Alas, her parents never turned up in the series, I always wondered WHY she ran away but perhaps that story can be told some day.In many ways her powers remind me of the much later Blue Beetle/Jaime Reyes as she could control her magic shapeshifting shell for a number of uses that seemed only really limited by Candace's focus and planning. This page is the first time she uses the Serpent Egg an item Kobra unearthed and was preparing to study before Candace got her hands on it. Social/Sharing |
