OK, nothing screams 1940's Ziff-Davis/Ray Palmer style SF than this cover, which appeared on the January 1949 issue of Fantastic Adventures for "Return of Sinbad" by Chester Geier. I mean, giant rocs vs. spaceships? How can it get better than that? Though my nieces and nephews insist on referring to the roc as a space chicken. Youngsters. Sigh...
