Description

Scrolling through the Original Comic Art section of eBay is a chore, but I try to do it as much as I can. It almost always disappoints. But once in a great, great while I will come across a piece of art that makes my heart skip a beat. That was the case when I saw this page, along with the page preceding it, on eBay at the end of last year.

The preceding page went for a lot more than I was able to spend, but this page was less-expensive. I remember reading this comic as a child and being in awe of Galactus disposing of the High Evolutionary with ease. However, when Galactus seemed to meet his demise here, it was grotesque and disturbing to me. Seeing the Big G's body shrink while his head grew bigger was bad enough, but then to see him become a brain, which then seemed to explode, was too much.

Needless to say, I am thrilled to have this page.

I remember buying this issue from the spinner rack at my local 7-11 store and I had much the same reaction as you when I read it. Congratulations on acquiring a wonderful page from this nostalgic favorite!!!
