The Thing

I wanna start with a big thank you to Rob Shalda. If not for him I would not be able to say this one was mine. Bill Marimon is friends with Vic Bridges and Rob had gotten in touch about possibly getting a commission from Vic. While Bill and Vic have fallen out of touch Bill was willing to sell Rob a few old commissions that Vic had done for him. Bill threw in this Thing piece and Rob was kind enough to pass it along to me.

I think this's a wonderful example of how Vic's style has changed over the years. The Byrne influences aren't anywhere near what they were in his SC days and there is a nice animated vibe to his work now (see his Savage Dragon back-up stories). It really makes me wish he would come back to the world of comics. Or, at least to the world of commission work ;)
