"The Fellowship of the Talisman" by Michael Whelan (1978)

I read this book as a teen and really enjoyed it. After the 'Lord of the Rings' I was drawn to stories like this, The 'Sword of Shannara', 'Ursherak' (Sp?) and the like. Finally owning a Whelan painting (that isn't a prelim) also is a check off my collection list. I just love his work.
