Even though Don Heck did the pencilling job, it is incredible how Tom Palmer made Don Heck look like Neal Adams in this one-off issue in between Neal's work from 63 and 65.

I have a very large soft spot in my heart for Sunfire. The fifth panel is quite special in that regard. And yes, Mr. Palmer really worked hard to keep the Adams vibe, though you can still detect Mr. Heck's style in some of the figure work and on the Japanese diplomat's face.

Don Heck's art is stunning. Although it's easy to give Tom Palmer most or all of the credit, I have to imagine that Heck turned in some inspired pencils for this issue as well. Thanks for sharing this lovely art!
