Description

Tone is a great artist that met a year or two ago. What drew my eye was this beautiful color Cowboy Bebop print he had but his real masterpiece was this Rogue cover recreation he had done. I really fell in love with his rendition of Rogue so when I had the chance I asked for Rogue from the 90s cartoon. Tone laughed and told me he preferred to think of it as the Jim Lee style of Rogue which makes sense as the show just lifted arcs wholesale from that era.

Tone did an incredible job frankly. The big hair and the jacket are really nailed. The individual strands of hair in contrast to the smooth gradient colors of the costume really make the hair stand out. Also the cool composed expression and the arched eyebrow, Rogue is ready to bring it! I also appreciate the varied black background Tone threw in which is a nice way to break up the all white background of the sketch cover. I might have to start a "Daughters of Wolverine" sketch cover theme from Tone now after this.

Just a stunning colored piece by Tone.
