DescriptionFor all you children out there listening in to the broadcast, this is what happens when you wrap your extremities in aluminium foil, lay out for a tan, and then fall asleep...your hands melt off. Is that the most uneven, blotchy tan you've ever seen? Someone rush a bottle of easy-tan over to MODOK's room! Speaking of which, Mr. MODOK apparently has requested a room change from the beautiful Thermia Palace, which was built in the Art Nouveau style in 1912, to the Spa Hotel Jalta. The Jalta is described thusly, "Spa Hotel Jalta was originally opened under the name Excelsior Hotel in 1929. The building was built in functionalist style. The hotel is located in the pedestrian precinct, yet its position makes it attractive for guests demanding more bustling lifestyle with activity and entertainment. Hotel offers accommodation in 36 double-bed rooms. The treatments are offered in the Spa Houses Irma and Napoleonic Spa on the Spa Island. The distance between hotel and spa houses is about 300 meters. Transport by minibus/bus is offered for free (once a day from hotel to spa houses and back). Room equipment: TV with satellite, fridge and direct dial telephone. Hairdryer upon request." Sources close to MODOK speaking on condition of anonymity have told me that they're concerned he's regressing back to his controlling, megalomaniacal state due to the sun burn set-back. This is evidenced by wanting housing in a functionalist, Soviet-style building, surrounding himself with easily-controlled pedestrians, as well as MODOK's unusual request for a partial daily refund given that he doesn't require use of the minibus due to his hoverchair. The spa is trying to appease the beast's, I mean MODOK's, anger by giving him a free mud bath. The sulphur thermal mud of Piestany is world-renowned, and I'll cover it's curative properties in the next segment.Social/Sharing |
