I�m moving a few things around on the walls today, so I thought I�d post one of the paintings that now has a new spot on the walls. This is the cover to the June 1929 issue of the pulp War Novels. The artist is Jerome George Rozen, twin brother to fellow pulp artist George Jerome Rozen. Jerome got his start in the pulps in the late 1920�s, and in 1931 he painted the first four original covers to The Shadow (the cover for the first issue having been reprinted from an issue of The Thrill Book). After those four covers, his brother George took over as the main Shadow cover artist for the remainder of the 1930�s, while Jerome moved more into the advertising and slick magazine markets.
