Adventure, May 15, 1935

A few days ago I posted a science fiction pulp cover by Hubert Rogers. While Rogers was one of the primary cover artists for Astounding from the late 1930's to the early 1950's, his work wasn't limited to science fiction. Among other work, he also painted several covers for Adventure between 1928 and 1936. This is one we picked up several years ago at an auction in Florida, and is the cover for Adventure, May 15, 1935. I've always thought that with only a few changes, this could have been a Doc Savage cover.
