So here is the story as I remember it...
Multiple years ago, I asked the wonderful Don Rosa to do a cover interpretation of Phantom Lady 17 (don't ask me why...I might have been drinking).
Quite frankly I anticipated something quite different than this, but I was reduced to out of control laughter when I received this.
Don told me that he decided to go with this interpretation as he didn't feel 'quite comfortable' with 'drawing bazooms on a girl duck'.
While I might still question myself on my request to Don to interpret this cover, it is one of my favorite pieces in my collection and quite possibly one of the strangest Don Rosa pieces that has ever been done.
I still marvel how Don made Scrooge's face mimic the exact expression that is on Phantom Lady's face in the iconic GGA cover.
...and there you have it.
