Description

Although Crandall originally drew the cover, Ward was the artist on the cover story in the interior of the book. Between the two of them, they were probably the most prolific artists on the title(Ward alone drew about 100 stories) until Dick Dillin took over in the mid-1950's.

Yeah, I know Ward's take on the cover seems a little wonky, but so was the original by Crandall, so it fits. Besides, I really like artists who do slightly non-traditional takes on traditional characters (Kevin Nowlan and Jack Davis come to mind), and this fills that description nicely.
