On this 2nd anniversary of Nick's passing, here's another page from one of my favorite issues of his work.

Aqualad was missing from a few of the previous TT issues and finds himself in the aftermath of the death of Dr Swenson, Lilith and Mal joining the Titans, meeting the Hawk and Dove and going into outer space. Yet when HE needs the Titans, it's no go.

You might think the panel with Kid Flash, Wonder Girl and Speedy is a just a "throwaway" but those headshots really look great.

It's also a treat to see Aqualad going into the water in observance of the "1 hour out of water" rule.

As with the previous page in this gallery, Nick uses tree branches to lead us from one panel to the next.

Aqualad was created by Robert Bernstein and Ramona Fradon.

Kid Flash was created by John Broome and Carmine Infantino.

Speedy was created by Mort Weisinger and Paul Norris.

Wonder Girl was created by William Moulton Marston, H.G. Peter and Robert Kanigher.

I remember this string of issues fondly. You're right, that head shot panel is really wonderful, and shows how well Nick Cardy could draw a pretty girl. The inks here are beautiful. This is tasty stuff!

The detail in the artwork on this page is just amazing. An excellent example of Cardy's great talent. Thanks for posting it. (Hard to believe it has been two years.)
