Description

Here's a slick magazine illustration we just had framed. By artist John Richard Flanagan (perhaps best remembered among pulp fans for his work in Blue Book, though his work in Colliers illustrating the stories of Sax Rohmer was much more lucrative), this is from the June 1929 issue of Good Housekeeping, illustrating the article, "If You Like to Go Places, Just Follow Frederick L. Collins." Shortly before he created this piece, Flanagan cruised around the Mediterranean working for the French Line.
