DescriptionA few days ago, I posted a Frank Kelly Freas cover from Planet Stories for one of Poul Anderson's Dominic Flandry stories. Today I thought I'd post another Flandry cover that we picked up a few years ago. This one's by Ed Emshwiller -- better known as Emsh -- and was the cover to "Earthman, Go Home!", one side of Ace Double D-479, published in 1960. At this point, Emsh was in the midst of a three year run as the recipient of the Best Professional Artist Hugo (winning from 1960-1962, though he also won more Hugos earlier and later).Social/Sharing |

It's been awhile since I've seen one of those Ace doubles but have never seen one of the actual paintings. WOW! Very Cool
