Ruth Sanderson - "The Black Stallion"

This is the cover art for the 1st paperback printing of "The Black Stallion" by Walter Farley. The novel was originally published in 1941, and was only available as a hardcover until 1977, when Random House issued the paperback edition. 2016 marks the 75th Anniversary of the Black Stallion, and the novel has always been in print.
I greatly enjoyed reading the Black Stallion series as a child growing up in the 60's, and I also loved the film "The Black Stallion" when it came out in 1979 ...one of the best book to movie adaptations ever in my opinion. Given this history, I was delighted when Ruth agreed to sell the Black to me. Thank you Ruth!
