Infinite Man by
Drew Moss
For this commission, I gave Drew Moss a character who I thought might be interesting to draw: Jaxon Rugarth, the Infinite Man! Jaxon was a scientist who was sent by an experimental time machine through all of time in a continuous loop, from beginning to end, over and over. This process somehow gave him powers over the fabric of time, while also driving him insane. The Infinite Man is without a doubt one of the Legion of Super-Heroes' most powerful foes, and each of his few appearances is pretty memorable. I particularly liked the story where Brainiac 5 and Rond Vidar used him as a weapon to take out the Time Trapper, another time-traveling villain. Anyway, I asked Drew to draw him for me here and Drew went above and beyond on this commission! Here we have the Infinite Man at the end of time just before the Big Crunch, as the universe recollapses in on itself. We see the remains of the New Gods and the Anti-Monitor, and one can only wonder at what kind of destruction they caused in their final moments. Drew added some incredible colors to this commission, and the result is simply beautiful. The scan here simply does not do this commission justice. The art itself is huge (16"x20") and I had to make four different scans of it and piece them together in Photoshop, with an awesome "fix" assist by Simon Gough. Anywho, I'm definitely gonna get this one framed! I can't thank you enough, Drew!
If you like this piece then please do go buy some books featuring Drew's work in either physical or digital format and/or go commission him yourself.
