Description
Last May I picked up this painting by M. Leone Bracker, which was the cover for the first issue of Adventure, dated November 1910. Given that Adventure is my favorite pulp, I was more than a little happy to get it! However, it needed some work, and has spent the last several months at The Conservation Center in Chicago. I just picked it up from them earlier today; here's how it cleaned up. It's the earliest pulp cover painting still existing that I know of.

This is a really nice painting and for me, it's not just the middle guy, it's all three of there expressions that make me enjoy this piece and wonder at the circumstances that transpired.
