This wonderful drawing came via the generosity of Tim Sale. This sketch is memorable for several reasons. First, it's memorable because Tim went beyond what I thought he would do for me. Secondly, the whole weekend at the Emerald City Con, no other artist was willing to do a sketch in my sketchbook after seeing my Travis Batman sketch. When I gave this to Tim and asked him to sketch for me, he responded..."Can i take this home and give it to you later?". Tim wanted to do a more finished piece to compliment the other sketch in my book. What an offer! What a great guy, and what a great sketch! My eternal thanks Tim!

this might appear to be pretty random but i see your name "joe" engraved into batman's cape in that inkwash. do you think that was intentional or uintentional? i dunno but i think that's pretty cool!

I don't see how a drawing in your sketchbook could get any better than this. This piece is absolutely stunning and Tim Sale has a lot of class ! So sincere congrats and thanks for sharing.
