DescriptionA fantastic peak period Bisley piece featuring an early rendition of Lord Tyler of Melting Pot and Tony Luke's Dominator character.This piece first appeared as the cover for Comic Collector magazine and was renamed 'Lord Tyler and friend' for the gallery section of the 'The Melting Pot: Collection' TPB. It was also republished in the French anthology 'USA Magazine' in 1992. It is likely the image would've gained even greater exposure if it wasn't for the appearance of Dominator whose rights were owned by its creator the late Tony Luke, an eccentric UK artist if ever there was one... Interestingly, there is a drawing of the Grinner which you can see if you look carefully on the bottom left of the image (I've included it in detail on a separate picture), I wonder how the painting may have looked had Biz actually used him... Image measures a large 13.75" x 19.5". A very, very special thanks to my two fellow collectors who made this piece available to us.... Social/Sharing |
