ADVENTURE COMICS #459 3D shadowbox paper sculpture 1979 / 2015
Original art by Jim Aparo
Published by DC Comics 1979

This 3D was initially made in 1979 simply because I liked the cover.
It was made using about 15 original covers, not copies
and has been in my personal collection until 2015.

In 2015 I restored some color fading. Most of the 3D work has held up over time.
After restoring it and repainting the frame, I offered it as a contest prize
in celebration of my Fan Page first anniversary. It was won by Gus Ceballos in CA.
