DescriptionNormally when I do these imaginary covers I go and work up a plot. Not here :) I just love Mitch's art, that classic late 70's / early 80's Justice League line up and so loves me some disco Brainiac! Loved Pulsar Stargrave since I first saw Keith Pollard's gorgeous pin up of him in Who's Who. And the idea of someone that powerful taking on the Justice League makes perfect sense. And so it was building on Perez's classic JLA run with a final little coda of awesomeness.A powerful homage to Michael Bair's cover for the first Young All-Stars Annual. Stargrave looks magnificent and Hawkgirl and Elongated Man look as good here as they ever have. Chris, as always, brings his lettering and makes it flawless. Nothing about this isn't an A++. ~And~ on top of all that when the package arrived from Mitch it also included a hand colored version! You bring two triple threats together like this how can it not be perfect :) And now, because there are awesome people in this world, here's the cover in color! Rob contacted me and asked if he could work his magic on it and I just had to say yes. Not much of a choice there ;) Rob went and proved yet again that he's the king of classic colors.
