My Dad brought me some Dan Dare comic annuals when I was a kid -- he went on a business trip to London and didn't realize Dan Dare was a uniquely British comic and not a Marvel super-hero. Well, that opened a whole new window for me and I just loved Dan Dare comics. Having a chance to get a Dave Gibbons wrap-around cover with Dan Dare and The Mekon (the main villain) was just too good to pass up. Thank you Dave and Joseph!
