Description

WHERE, oh WHERE are those wonderful team-ups from the old days? I understand that from a story perspective, there really wasn't a lot of sense in the ATOM teaming up with Hawkman. To me, the Barry Allen (Flash) and Ray Palmer (Atom) connection made MUCH more sense since they were scientists. But it didn't matter. Two heroes being paired up and forming a team was just the best. So although I really didn't like DC's NEXT BIG EVENT IN A LONG LINE OF THEM, this one being the Blackest Night", it did produce some awesome art. And it was so cool to resurrect some long-cancelled books. So that brings me to this piece. Back-from-the-dead versions of Hawkman and Hankgirl are after The Atom! Dead and creepy Hawkman about to devour the Atom. Sook was masterful here in my opinion. Especially in the way he made Hawkman so ominous. Dig those hands! And those WINGS!
