Raymond, Alex - Scuttle Watch Illustration for page 137

This marvelous illustration is an illustration from Marion Crowell Ryder's 1941 juvenile novel, SCUTTLE WATCH -- a story of a sea-faring family named the Crosbys. This is the only novel that Raymond ever fully illustrated, although he did do at least one other dustjacket illustration that I am aware of. This illo. is a full page illustration from page 137. I purchased this original in a process that began with an advertisement in The Comics Buyer's Guide in March 1991.
