Description

I've had my eye on this piece, in one of Albert Moy's portfolios, for a few years now and finally at NYCC 2016 decided that it was time to make the move, before anyone else did.

This is classic Adams from 1992. It was used as a limited run poster for that years Wondercon show.

It's not a specific character, just one that Art had drawn for his girlfriend at the time that he wound up using for the poster.

I love her heroic stance, the awesome robot in ruins behind her with the mist and dust of battle billowing up from the ground. The details of her outfit and the inking throughout are just incredible. I love it and it's certainly one of the highlights of my collection. Now to get it framed!

11x17 on bristol comic board.

Thank you! I tried my darndest for a sketch at the show but was too far down on the list (#9) to get one. I think Art only completed two or three during the show. I was lucky enough, however, to be able to pick out a Hulk blue-line that he had brought along, which he'll finish and I'll pick up at some future show. So for that, I'm more than happy.

Quite lovely! I miss Wondercon. As I understand it, Adams is a Bay Area native.
