DescriptionWay back in the summer of 1974 I attended my first NY Con, the Seuling Con.There I was very fortunate to meet a number of artists including Alan Weiss who was kind enough to draw this sketch of Solomon Kane. At that time, Weiss had just drawn a Kane story that was published in one of the Marvel b+w magazines. The sketch was drawn on some stationary that I was using at the time (when people actually wrote letters, ha!) which had a Gulacy barbarian printed in the upper left corner. I was also lucky enough to get Gulacy to draw a Thongor the Barbarian and a really cool Nick Fury sketch for me at the same con, but those pieces were subsequently sold a long time later. I would love to get those back if you are the owner and are willing to pass them along. Social/Sharing |
