Description

I am not sure why there has been a European fascination with cowboy culture and the wild west. I suspect it must have sprung from the Spaghetti Western films. Although best recognized for his erotic work on the character Druuna, Serpieri illustrated an entire series on “The Story of the West.” If you ever get a chance, the detail and quality of the work in the series is really fantastic. This piece is a very nice representation of Serpieri’s ink work. The detail in the old Indians face speaks of skin long exposed to the elements and wrinkled wisdom. I haven’t translated the conversation, but I absolutely LOVE this piece. Thanks to BB for being willing to part with it.
