Description

Well, not quite hot off the presses, but hot off the UPS truck and into our house, this pulp illo arrived a few hours ago. It's by Lawrence Sterne Stevens, and appeared in the September 1944 issue of Famous Fantastic Mysteries, illustrating Richard Tooker's, "The Day of the Brown Horde." It's one of the larger illustrations by Lawrence that I've seen; the image is roughly 10.5" x 16" and it should look great on the wall!

That's truly an impressive work, the texture being a sort of an ancient tapestry!
