The rigidity of the Atlantean armor is a given, it's the aesthetic of the curved shell inspired shoulder piece that gives it a waterworn feel.

Murks pose also conveys self assurance and righteousness as he points out that the honor of Atlantis has been impugned.

In the third panel you can see his anger at the helmets having been left to falsely lay the blame for the attack on the people of Atlantis.
