I've always had a fondness for "Alan Ford" and the reasons why are at least three:
- It's the first comic I remember I've personally bought when I was a child (it was the #110, titled "Gommaflex");
- It's one of the funniest series I've ever read;
- It was graphically created by one of the greatest Italian comic artists of all time, the late master Roberto Raviola, called Magnus (1939-1996).
Magnus did the first 75 issues (just the pencils from the #16 on), then he came back to draw the #200. His art was unsurpassed and still is.
This is a very nice page featuring the main characters Alan Ford and Bob Rock, plus a terrific close-up of Gervasius De Statuis, called La Cariatide :)
