Hugo Pratt - First Corto Maltese

Now this is something you don't see everyday: the original page with the very first appearance of Corto Maltese!
Of course it's priceless and NOT part of my collection :) But it was part of a wonderful exhibition that was held in Bologna (Italy) in which were displayed over 400 works by Hugo Pratt, including drawings, watercolors, indian ink drawings, magazines and other rarities.
Plus, as a sort of exhibition within the exhibition, an entire wall covered with ALL the 164 original pages for "A Ballad of the Salt Sea": a real milestone in comics history, in which Corto Maltese made his debut, back in 1967!

Believe me, it was a quite thrilling experience :)

PS - I'm sorry that the photos are a little blurry, but it's very difficult to take good pictures when the artworks are on display under glass or plexiglass, in dark rooms and the use of flash is strictly prohibited :(
