DescriptionMy thanks to Kevin Moorhead for linking me with Rafael through his CAF posts. This was a first rate commission experience in all respects. I hope others seek out Rafa's work, as he is a great talent.I asked Rafael for his interpretation of the laboratory scene from Marvel Two in One 24, as it is much truer to the comic than the published cover. Rafa did a seriously great job with this! I saw him post it and was wracking my brain trying to figure out what it referenced. I shoulda known since it was the Thing it'd be one of yours :)

This commission and Kane/Giacoia cover image nostalgically takes me back to late 1976/early 1977 when I started buying Marvels off the spinner rack....this was my first MTiO issue picked up (interiors by Sal Buscema & Pablo Marcos). Rafael redesigned the Hijacker but you did ask for his reinterpretation. Plus the guy only appeared like 3 times until Scourge wiped him out so I doubt many would notice or care

CORRECTION: This wasn't a redesign by Rafael. Apparently Hijacker was resurrected by The Hood with help from Dormammu's dark magic in Punisher V.2 #5-9 (2009) and augmented, armed and costumed by the Hood. He battled Venom and was killed (again) by him (V. 2 #9, 2009) after this. Learn something' every day;-)
