Description

Although similar to Totleben's painted cover for Swamp Thing #100, it's different enough that I'm reluctant to call it a prelim. Whether this was intended for a cover, a commission, or simply done for the artist's pleasure one thing is certain: it's a very lovely illustration. Many thanks to Gentleman Jim Warden, one of the nicest guys in the original comic art biz.

Amazing piece - I prefer it to a lot of his painted covers from the time period.

Was such a treat being able to see this in person. While I don't necessarily feel the need to label the artwork. Whether you choose to call this a prelim, a specialty piece, an artistic indulgence, or whatever - one thing's for sure, it's absolutely exquisite. Thank you for showing me this. It was easily one of the highlights of my visit.
