Description

Disney Babies - Peg Leg Pete Storybook Illustration Art Group of 22 (Disney, c. 1990s). Baby Pete (!) goes out for a shopping trip with his nanny in this charming series of layout drawings for a Disney storybook. As one follows the story throughout the drawings, it looks as though Baby Pete wants to eat up everything in sight! In drawing after drawing, he points to different articles on the shelf and starts to salivate - and then presumably, the nanny teaches him the names of different foods. He tastes a sour lemon, knocks over a display of cereal, but finally gets to enjoy a fresh-baked cookie from the bakery...and all ends well. The bulk of the drawings measure 17" x 10.5". Drawings are graphite and blue pencil on onionskin paper. Handling and Edge-wear. In Fine condition.
